The Harvard–Yenching Library is the primary location for East Asia-related collections at the Harvard University Library. In addition to Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Western languages, it houses collections in Vietnamese, Tibetan, Manchu, and Mongolian, totaling more than 1.5 million volumes. The library has been located on the Cambridge campus of Harvard University since around 1957.  This dragon stands in front of the library building as a guardian and a represantation of the East-Asian culture.
