Hindu deity, center of java, Indonesia, 8th or 9th century, Andesite. Musée d'Art et d'Histoire (Musée du Cinquantenaire, Brussels, aelgiumi). Made with Zephyr 3D from 3D Flow. This representation probably comes from the plateau of Diéng where stood a few hundred temples, all dedicated to the Hindu deity Siva. Diéng means "stay of the gods". The kingdom was faithful to Hindu worship. For more updates, please consider to follow me on Twitter at @GeoffreyMarchal.
